Through Faith

THE DAILY WORD

2 Peter 1:3,4 (NIV)
3. His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

God has already given us EVERYTHING WE NEED!!
So why don't we just automatically HAVE everything we need in the natural???

According to God's Word, it's because we don't ASK!!

James 4:2 (NIV)
You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God.

We have already been redeemed from the curse of the law, which means we are redeemed from poverty, sickness, and the effects of wars and disasters:

Galatians 3:13 (NIV)
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."

Deuteronomy 28 starting at verse 15 tells us all about the curse of the law. Read it some time and see all the evil that you have already been redeemed from!!

But we need to get those spiritual blessings into our physical lives, and the way we do it is through FAITH:

Hebrews 11:1-3 (NIV)
1. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 2. This is what the ancients were commended for. 3. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

Notice that FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE of what we hope for!! Your faith in God IS that thing you asked for in prayer, that you are claiming in Jesus' Name!! Your FAITH IS the substance of it!!

We bring the unseen spiritual blessings that are already ours into the natural physical realm by FAITH!!

PRAYER
Thank You Father for Your life-giving Word. Thank You for sending Jesus Christ to redeem me from the curse of the law. Thank You for making me a joint heir with Christ, even though I could never do anything to deserve such a thing. Help me to remember the blessings that are already mine, so I can take hold of them by faith.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
