Sleep
THE DAILY WORD

All the good promises of God from the Old Testament are also for us under the New Testament:
2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)
For ALL the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
With that in mind, lets look at some Old Testament verses:
Psalm 3:5 (NIV)
I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.
Psalm 4:8 (NIV)
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
Psalm 127:2b (NIV)
for he grants sleep to those he loves.
The Lord grants sleep to those He loves! Who does God love? John 3:16 starts with "God so loved THE WORLD!" That would be everyone! But if we have a hard time sleeping at night, it is up to US to RECEIVE that sleep by faith!
God Himself neither slumbers nor sleeps:
Psalm 121:3,4 (NIV)
3. He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber; 4. indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
God doesn't need a rest break in His watching over us! He watches over us at night as well as during the day! We should speak Psalm 121:3,4 in faith and receive it for ourselves!
PRAYER
Thank You Father for Your wonderful, life-giving Word. Help me comprehend Your Word and rightly divide it so I can allow You to govern my life completely.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
