God's Good, Pleasing, and Perfect Will (Part 3)

THE DAILY WORD

Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Taking what we know from God's "good" will, His "pleasing" will, and His "perfect" will (the last 2 Daily Words), we can fairly easily separate what God's will is for situations that are not so clear.

Let's say I'm wondering whether God wants me to do something or not.

1. I start with God's "good" will by PRAYING about it; becoming more tuned in to God's Holy Spirit inside me.

2. Then I ask myself: "Does this fall in line with God's Word? Can I stand on God's Word concerning this situation?"

3. Then I ask myself: "Am I walking in love by doing this?"

If you don't get a red light in your spirit while praying about it, and you find that you CAN stand on God's Word concerning this situation, and you would be walking in love by doing it, then you should do it! And not half-heartedly either!

The first thing satan does when he sees us trying to do something that would glorify God, is discourage us! The enemy will do whatever he can to make us feel like worthless failures, but we must press on by standing in faith on God's Word and continuing to go forward no matter how bad things look!

God does not lead us by circumstances. If circumstances look bad, THAT IS NOT GOD TELLING YOU TO QUIT! If the thing you are doing passed the three requirements above, then it IS God's will, and it is SATAN who is trying to stand in your way!

PRAYER
Thank You Father for Your life-giving Word. Thank You for telling me how to carry out Your will on this earth. Help me fulfill my personal ministry as effectively as possible, by staying in prayer, walking by faith, and walking in love. Help me to follow the leadings of Your Holy Spirit every day.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
